  • Sample the seasonal fresh produce that is grown in sweet abundance throughout the area, including cherries, raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, peaches and apples;
  • Discover fantastic little tucked-away restaurants and local wineries;
  • Relax and enjoy the healthy fresh air in a beautiful environment;
  • Partake in one of the many wonderful short walks that the region has to offer;
  • Take a walk across the treetops on the Tahune Forest Airwalk;
  • Visit the Southern Design Centre at Geeveston and see the wonderful products which are made on site, using Tasmanian timber;
  • Immerse yourself in the skills of a bygone era at the Franklin Wooden Boat Centre;
  • Spend a day on beautiful Bruny Island, which is accessed by car ferry that is only a 20minute drive away;
  • Do the rounds of the antique shops in the area;
  • Take in the beautiful scenery that you will see while undertaking the short drives around the region; or
  • Simply discover for yourself, some other wonderful aspects of The Huon Trail
